Michael G. Schelhas, 84, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on April 2, 1940 in Allegan, MI. Michael graduated from Allegan High School and went on to earn a Bachelor & #39;s degree from Western Michigan University. He proudly served in the United States Air Force before embarking on his careers. Mike managed Snelling & Snelling Employment Agency and later excelled as a salesman at Art Van Furniture before his retirement.
Mike was an enthusiastic sportsman. He was a downhill skier, coached Rocket League football and was an avid fan of golf and football. Michael is survived by his wife, Melissa; his brother Peter Schelhas (Debra); sister, Jane Schelhas; and cousin Betsy Calhoun (David), and family. He was preceded in death by his father Clifton Schelhas and his mother Muriel (Anda) Schelhas.
Mike will be remembered for his sense of humor and love
of sports.
