Michael “Mick” Dever, of Dorr, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his home on September 27, 2026 with his daughter by his side.

Mick was born on January 22, 1954 to Jim and Dorothy (Hilaski) Dever and lived in Dorr throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mikey Dever; his partner, Nancy Booth; his father and mother; his sister, Darlene Terrell; and his brother-in-law Steve Vogt.

He will lovingly be remembered by his daughter, Stacy Levy (Philippe) and grandsons Naya Verdier (Katie), Soren Dever (Miku), and Toviah Levy; his stepson Al Booth (Sheri); his siblings Dan Dever (Sue), Dawn Vogt, Michelle Cooper (Rod), and brother-in-law Randy Terrell; his uncle Leon Hilaski (Cheryl); many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his dear cousin, Sheila Dever; and last but not least, his beloved and loyal canine companion, Sofi.

He was the previous owner of the Country Side Inn and was a member of the Dorr Moose Lodge #2541.

He was known for his love and commitment to his family, his humor and ability to find a joke in nearly any situation, his practical jokes, his open mind and originality. He was able to fix anything mechanical, had a passion for cars, and loved going fast. He raced and rode motorcycles, boxed in the Golden Gloves, and enjoyed playing golf.

He faced hardship and his illness with a positive attitude, determination and courage. He remained positive, tough, and sweet until the end. He inspired those of us blessed to be close to him with his strength, humor, and fighting spirit.
