Michael Alan Gowens, of Allegan, MI, age 60 went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2021. He was born to the late Michael Gowens and the late Mary (Gowens) Green on Feb 20, 1961 in Allegan, MI.

Mike, also known as Mikey, attended Allegan High School. He worked at Pet Life for over 20 years, where he was a skilled forklift driver. He and his companion of many years, Marlene, moved to Florida and later to Missouri before retuning to Michigan. Mike could usually be found sitting on his front porch with a cold beer enjoying music. Or you may find him cruising a back road with one of his select good friends. Mikey also loved to fish. One of his favorite fishing holtes was Chicora Bridge or the J.C. park.

Mike is survived by his two sons, Frankie Jackson and Nathan Snyder, by his brothers Duke Gowens and Angel, Terry (Marian) Gowens, and Mark Gowens; his sisters Yvonne Gowens and Bennie, Yvette (Earl) O'Bryant, Melissa Gowens and Dennis, and Sari Gowens. Also surviving are step children Letha Reid and Ricky, David Reid, and Charlie Reid, along with 12 grandchildren who he enjoyed very much and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father and mother, his long time companion Marlene Reid (AKA Bubby), and his brother Shad.
