Obituary

Michael "Mike" David Fisher, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on March 22, 2024, at his home in Fennville, Michigan. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Mike was born on July 10, 1957, in Douglas, Michigan to Alvern "Newt" Fisher and Evelyn Fisher. He graduated from Fennville High School in 1975 and married Robin (Martin) Fisher on July 30, 1982 at the United Methodist Church in Fennville. Mike and Robin raised two children together, Shonda and Dustin. They enjoyed traveling, local car community events, and camping in Northern Michigan. Sadly, Robin preceded him in death, as did their daughter, Shonda Martin. Mike's heart found love again with his surviving wife, Reva (Holtsclaw) Fisher, whose companionship brought joy, adventure, and comfort over the last four years.

In his professional life, Mike was known for his dedication and craftsmanship. He built boats at Chris Craft in Holland before embarking on a fulfilling career as an HVAC installer, a role in which he not only excelled in for over three decades, but also served as a mentor to many. Mike was an avid Volkswagen enthusiast, often found working on cars with his son, Dustin. Together, they shared countless hours under the hood, bonding over the intricate details of their mechanics. Mike's presence was a staple at numerous Midwest car shows, where he showcased his work and shared his passion for cars with fellow enthusiasts and friends.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Reva; children, Dustin (Jennifer) Fisher; stepchildren, Darrell Long, James (Erica) Long, and DonnaMae Gross; grandchildren, Charleigh Fisher; siblings, Norman Fisher, Maryanne ("Pinky") Barnes, Kenneth (Anne) Fisher, and Sally (Fisher) Moeller; and many other loving family members, including step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at the Fennville United Methodist Church on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 2pm, with interment at the Pearl Cemetery, followed by a luncheon back at the church.
