Michael John Bowyer of Kentwood, Michigan, age 68, passed away peacefully at his home on January 16, 2021. He served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. One of his most favorite things to do was race his racecar on asphalt and dirt tracks. In his later years, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and Westerns, and also playing a war game on his PlayStation. Mike will be remembered by his sarcastic sense of humor and funny jokes. He will be greatly missed by his loving spouse Mary; daughters Julie (Tom) VanderStolp and Christina Bowyer; grandchildren Tyler (Chelsea) Sinke, MaKenna VanderStolp, Caleb, Aaron and Noah Pickerd; brother Fred; sisters Judy (Robert) Kennedy, Mickey (Robert) Pike and his nieces and nephews and friends. In the spring his cremated remains will be interred at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.
