IN LOVING MEMORY OF
May Juanita
Miller
May 13, 1935 – September 26, 2022
May Juanita Miller, the beloved wife of the late Earl William Miller and loving mother of
Kimberly (Charles) Davis, Dr. Jacqueline (Christopher) Ortoleva, Vicki (David) Carter,
and Judy (Grace) Miller, and many precious grandchildren (Jeanne, Courtney, Colette,
and Jennifer) and great grandchildren, passed away peacefully in her home on
September 26, 2022. To those who were lucky enough to know her, Mom was truly a
unique soul who never ceased to march to the beat of her own drum. From starting her
own successful ceramics and porcelain doll storefront, to her work with the elderly, love
of animals and travel, talent as a pianist who learned by ear, ability to wield a chainsaw
like a pro, and joy in riding a motorcycle, Mom was an indescribably inspiring and
humble person. No one had a more irresistible and beautiful laugh than mom. Indeed,
she had the profound ability to laugh even when confronted with adversity, and her wit,
drive, and love of life and family will forever live on within everyone she touched. We
love you mom and are truly better human beings because of you.
The family would like to thank Jamie Jelsema, who became like another daughter to
mom. Mom lit up every time she mentioned you and we thank you so much for caring so
compassionately for mom and for sharing your beautiful spirit with her, and with us. We
also profusely thank all of the caregivers at Emmanuel Hospice, particularly Julie
Chambers, Kaitlyn Dawson, and Sister Maria Faustina for your immense kindness in
taking such tender and loving care of mom for the past month. In lieu of flowers, please
forward donations in honor of mother's passion for helping animals to: Focus on Ferals:
