May Louise Davoren, 83, of Pullman, Michigan passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022, in Wings Home Allegan, MI. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who made quilts by hand that are cherished by family and friends. She had an exemplary career as an applications programmer for the Chicago Board of Education, retiring in 1992. After moving from Chicago, she lived in the Pullman area for 31 years, devoting time as a volunteer for her community. May was preceded in death by husband James Davoren Sr. and brother Howard Strohschein. Surviving her are her children: James Jr. (Maureen) Davoren of Lemont, IL, Michael (Colleen) Davoren of Downers Grove, IL, and Randy Davoren Sr. of Pullman, MI; her treasured grandchildren, James (Susan) Davoren, Patricia (Joshua) Handley, Erin (Nick) Warren, Peter Gagen, Catie (Sean) Blackburn, Matthew (Claire) Davoren, Eric (Brandy) Davoren, Randy Jr.; ten great-grandchildren, Andrew, Porter, Reese, Eliza, Charlie, Annabelle, Harper, Michael, Jocelyn, and Gunner; sisters, Delores Ward and Diana (Jake) Messer; sister-in-law, Judy Strohschein. Visitation is from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Modell Funeral Home, 7710 Cass Ave. Darien, IL. Private burial will take place June 1, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery.
