Maurice Antonio McCoy was born March 17th 1977 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas to the union of Teretha (Rita) McCoy and Lloyd Henry Durham. On Friday, February 24th, 2023 Maurice was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 45.

After giving his life to Christ at an early age, Maurice spent his early educational journey at Bradwell Elementary Public School and attended Thornton Township High School located in Harvey, Illinois. During Maurice's last year of high school he had his only child Tikoilya McCoy, November 23rd, 1995. Maurice worked as a machine operator for multiple manufacturing plants in Grand Rapids, Michigan for some time and then later provided janitorial services for local business owners until his passing.

Maurice was preceded in death by his parents Teretha and Lloyd and leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Tikoilya, his brother Adrian McCoy (Paris), his life partner Jessica Potts, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
