Matthew Vincent Hundey, age 38,  passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Matthew was born in Grand Rapids and grew up in Wyoming, MI as the oldest of three boys. He attended St. John Vianney Catholic School and continued on to graduate from Grandville High School in 2004. Matthew loved all aspects of the outdoors from hunting and fishing to riding motorcycles and snowboarding. He was a son, a brother, a husband, a nephew, and a friend to all. Matthew grew from the sweetest most caring boy, to the kindest, most generous man. He would lend an ear to all and always had a hug for anyone in need. His warm smile started at his eyes and brought comfort, ease, and love to those graced with his beautiful smile. Matthew enriched the lives of those around him in infinite ways and he was truly a gift to all who knew him.

Matthew is survived by his grandparents Rodney and Sandra Hundey, mother Janette Hundey, father Randy(Valerie) Hundey, brothers Ryan and Jared Hundey, nephew Hunter Hundey, nieces Autumn and Hazel Hundey, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Matthew was also loved dearly and will be forever missed by his Rokus family: estranged wife Chelsea, parents Karen and Mark, sister Hannah(Mike), nieces Phoenix and Autumn, and brothers Casey, Phillip, Patrick.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 from 1PM - 4PM at Ofield Funeral Home located at 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE Grand Rapids MI 49508.
