Mary Elma Nichols, age 77, of Wyoming, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Saint Mary's Hospital.
She was born on February 18, 1945, to Walter and Irma (Blain) Thomas in Hastings, Michigan.

Throughout her life, Mary worked as a hair dresser. She was also employed by Lear Siegler, making parts for the original space shuttle. She was a longtime member of Fletcher Christian Church in Oklahoma. Mary loved bingo, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family.

Mary will be missed dearly by her children: Kenneth Frary, Mary Lynn (Matt) Boucher, and Walter Travis Nichols; grandchildren: Jeremy (Kim), Colton, Brandon, Cody, Raven, and Aaron; great-grandchildren: Alexis, William, Erica, and Raegan; special nephew, Doug (Linda) Stamper; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Frank" Nichols; her parents; and her siblings: Ivan, Sally, Kenneth, and twin sister Marion.

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
