Obituary

Mary Joan Lange, aged 71, died peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 4th, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mary Joan was born the 6th daughter of Ted H. Lange and Josephine E. McGeath who preceeded her in death along with two of her siblings, Grace Ann (Richardson) and Barbara (Washburn). Mary Joan had a magnetic personality; to know her truly was to love her. She was a selfless person, gracious to the core and believed that her daily attitude and actions shaped the direction and destiny of her life. Those who knew Mary Joan could tell you that she cherished moments spent with family and friends most of all. Whether it was cooking for the many family get-togethers (no-one ever went hungry in her presence), playing cards with her friends or simply sitting in the stands at sporting events or dance recitals, she could always be counted on for love and support. She lived every day to the fullest and the impact of her life will be felt, through her unspoken words, for generations to come. Mary Joan is survived by her son Todd (Tina) Ranney and daughter Jodi (Dave) Modreske; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, with 2 more on the way (Amber, Pat, Keegan, Ian; Stuart, Bethany, Michael, Connor, Sadie; Joshua, Emily, Caiden; Kyle, Jenny; Seth, Jeri, Caleb, Alayna, Skylyn; Ryan; Corey; Morgan, Gavin, Raya; Lauren; Madison). In addition, she is survived by her siblings Susan, Gretchen, Kathy, Ted and Tom as well as multiple nieces and nephews, their children, and many close friends.
