Mary Ann Collins, age 41, passed away on January 9th, 2019 after a long battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Collins; children Ryan and Allyson; her parents, Edwin and Delores Anthony; siblings, Rebecca, Amy (Paul) Boys and Tony (Melissa); nieces and nephews, Adelaide, Trevor, Josie and Drew; godfather, uncle Ed (Mary) Taylor; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary Ann worked at First American Title Services for 8 years. She earned an Associate's degree from Montcalm Community College in early childhood development. Mary Ann loved being with her family and had a passion for working with children, especially at Ryan's school. She also enjoyed gardening, walking, the beach and sunsets. Mary Ann was actively involved with cancer support groups, often times making care packages for other breast cancer patients when she wasn't busy being the world's greatest mom to her special guy, her son Ryan. Visitations will take place on Sunday, January 13th, 2-5PM, with a rosary service at 4:30PM at Ofield Funeral Home (4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508) and again on Monday, January 14th at 10-11AM at St. Mary Magdalen (1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 14th at 11AM at St. Mary Magdalen with Father Peter Vu residing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gilda's Club, Lacks Cancer Center, the American Cancer Society or St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
