Mary Lou Chapman of Hastings, Michigan passed away at her home in Irving township on July 22, 2022, at age 74.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 18, 1947, the daughter of Russell and Verle (Eldridge) Schantz. She attended Thornapple Kellogg School. She loved sewing, crafts, and spending time with her family.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Chapman and her parents. She is survived by daughters Hope (Bill Bird) and Heide (Patrick) Stevens. She had 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at TVC (Thornapple Valley Church - 2750 M-43, Hastings, MI 49058) on Saturday, July 30, 2022 with visitation from 10-11 AM and the service at 11 AM. Service Details. Visitation
