Mary A. Buner of Grand Haven, MI (formerly of Muskegon, MI) age 77, passed away on January 15, 2023. She was born to Fernley Gray and Florence Erspamer on May 1, 1945 in Iron Mountain, MI. she was the youngest of three siblings. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School and then entered classes at Baker College for secretarial training. She was married to Robert H. Riley and later to Freddie L. Buner.

Most of Mary's time was spent taking care of her granddaughter, Quantasha, whom she adopted. They would spend their free time attending every hockey game they could at the L.C. Walker Arena. She loved to use the city transportation to get around.

Mary was employed by Concord Plastics and later at Muskegon's L.C. Walker Arena.

Mary is survived by her four children, Robert L. Riley, Jane M Riley, Shalanda Buner and Freddie Buner. She had 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her brother and her husbands, Freddie L Buner and Robert H. Riley.

The family would like to thank Grand Pines Assisted Living for all of the care and love that they gave our mother while she was living in their community.

There is no service scheduled at the funeral home. The family is planning to have a private Celebration of Life for Mary.
