June 7, 2014 Service: June 11, 2014 Marvin Peter Kruisenga, age 89, went to be with his Savior on June 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by all of his siblings, Anna Pearl Johnson, Corinne Vander Zon and Henry J. Kruisenga. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Verbrugge, sons Ken, Bob (Ginny Reed), daughter Ann LeJeune (John), also grandchildren Rob Kruisenga (Laura Kelly), Cindy Rankens (Mike), Karen Cornelius (Tom), Corinne Mouch (Joe) and Suzanne LeJeune and 6 great grandchildren. Marv proudly served during WWII from 1943-1946 in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in England, Germany and France. In 1946 he met Marie at Baxter Laundry and was married in 1948 and they celebrated their 66th Anniversary on March 31, 2014. Marv worked in sales his entire career, starting with Beech-Nut Baby Food in 1947 in Grand Rapids and in 1957 was transferred to Life Savers Candy division in Dearborn, Michigan. He retired as National Accounts Sales Manager in 1986 and moved to Pere Marquette Park on Lake Michigan in Muskegon, Michigan. In 2007 they moved to Beacon Hill Retirement Community in Grand Rapids. They were members of Third Reformed Church, Grand Rapids, Dearborn CRC, Westwood Reformed and Calvin CRC Muskegon, and Immanuel Reformed, Grand Rapids.
