Martha "Marty" Marklevitz was born in Little York, Illinois, the daughter of Laura and Andrew Bertelsen. She passed away peacefully on July 16, Wyoming, Michigan with family at her side.

Marty is survived by husband, Carl of 67 years and children, Don (Christine), Jane Brodoski (Jim), Chris (Kathy), Randy (Carleen) and Ken. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Marty was preceded in death during her life journey by her parents, siblings and beloved son, Ron.

Mary was an excellent seamstress. She loved looking for and buying antiques, collecting Danish porcelain pieces and traveling. She was a fifty-year member of St. Stanislaus Parish in Hilliards.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Dorr, Michigan, followed by internment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
