Martha Jane Jeffreys (Caperton) passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2025.

She was born in Savannah Tennessee on October 8th, 1936, to Jerrell Dean Caperton and Laura Verla Caperton (Jones). The family moved near Doniphan Missouri when Martha was 8, then moved to Michigan when she was a teen. She remained in the Fennville/Saugatuck area in her last home for over 50 years and retired from Fennville Public Schools.

Martha loved family, nature, gardening, cooking, singing, and all God's creatures.

She was a beautiful, proud and strong woman and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children Ron D. Sampson (Cris), Jane Peterson, Jim R. Jeffreys (April), and Martha M. Jeffreys.

She is survived by three sisters Mary Frieberger (Rolla Missouri, Anne Macicak (Saugatuck Michigan, and Bette VanPelt (Alexander Arkansas)

Rest easy our Dear Mother...you're at peace now
