It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the death of Markus Barnhardt of Allegan, MI on Wednesday Sept. 14, 2022 at the age of 21.

He will be deeply remembered by; his father Mark Barnhardt, his mother Melissa Bellgraph, his brothers: Ben Bellgraph, Jacob Weber and Nicolas, his sister Paige(Jake) Grauman. His grandparents Carl and Beverly Barnhardt along with Thomas Brenner, great grandparents Art and Marylou Fleser along with his Aunts Debroah(Scott) Fleser, April Brenner and Uncles Lee(Gina) Dreyer, Nathan(Malisa) Dreyer, and Christopher Bellgraph, Diane (Rodney) Stone, Linda (Jim) DeVrou, Russel Barnhardt, Marvin (Barney) Barnhardt, and Greg (Paula) Barnhardt, Jeremy Bellgraph. As well as many devoted nieces, nephews, and friends. His family and friends would like to express how proud they were of Marcus and all the struggles he had overcome recently.

Markus was preceded in death by his grandmother Kathleen Brenner, grandfather Christopher Bellgraph Sr., and aunt Nicole Bellgraph.

Markus Allen Barnhardt was the definition of a true friend, true fighter, and a kind soul. He was dealt a bad hand in his short time on this earth. Markus had taken all that bad and put it behind him. He knew what he needed to do to become the man that he finally was. Out of all the trials and tribulations a kind soul was created. A soul in which had the love for all things and an understanding that life is precious. It saddens us all to see such a kind and young soul leave this place, when he still had so much life to live.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm on Saturday Oct. 1st at 10 24th St. Otsego, MI. We want to give Markus a celebration he would have attended.

His family would also like to give thanks to Joey Kersey and Billy Hayes. Joey, thank you for guiding Marcus, and being there for him and his dad in his last moments here on earth. Billy, thank you for being his closest friend, and for reuniting him with his family.
