Mark Hoolihan of Kentwood Michigan passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019. He was born to James and Katherine (Unger) Hoolihan in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on March 13, 1970. Mark received an undergraduate degree in History from St. John's University, and his Ph. D from Michigan State University, where he met his wife, Pamela. Mark taught history at several institutions in Michigan, including Michigan State University, Kalamazoo College, and most recently, Aquinas College, where he had taught for the last seven years. Mark loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, and writing. He had a passion for teaching and learning. He was a beloved father and husband whose warmth and humor will be sorely missed. Mark is survived by his wife, Pamela, their daughter Barbara, his mother, Katherine Unger, and siblings Paul and Linda. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Chapel at Aquinas College on September 7, from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m.
