IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Leonard
Hanna
August 28, 1954 – June 17, 2021
Mark Leonard Hanna, age 66, a life-long resident of Michigan, peacefully passed away on June 17, 2021 at The Laurels of Kent near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Mark was born to Leonard and Edith Hanna on August 28, 1954 in Birmingham, MI. He was a beloved son to his devoted parents, and the youngest of five children, brother to his caring sisters Beth, Connie, Janet, and Joan. Mark graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Business and was a passionate entrepreneur, successfully founding and managing Michigan Vending Co. Mark's two children, Andrea and Brian Hanna, were his life's greatest joy. In 2015, Mark became a proud grandfather to Cameron, followed by Ava and Benjamin.
Mark's caring spirit made an impact on many as he shared an inquisitive perspective and lent a welcome ear to listen. A few of Mark's simple pleasures were spending time with family, bike riding, swimming, being outdoors, and listening to his favorite music. Fishing at Quarton Lake, eating sweets and candies, sports cars, and a burger from Hunter House were a few of Mark's favorite things that brought a happy smile to his face.
His family surrounded him in his final days to share in Mark's fondest memories and joys, while sending him the warmest love and prayer to pass through to Our Father in Heaven. Mark will be dearly missed by his loving children, Andrea (Jim) Kubus and Brian Hanna, sisters Beth (Jim) Anas, Connie Smith, Janet (Tom) Evans, and Joan Hinchcliffe, grandchildren Cameron, Ava, and Benjamin Kubus, and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at The Laurels of Kent and Faith Hospice for their care and compassion in Mark's final days. A private family 'Celebration of Mark's Life' will be held at a later date. To honor Mark, please reach out to someone and take them to lunch.
