Mark Quigley Dawson passed away in his home with his wife by his side on September 30, 2022. Born July 20, 1954, in Harvey, IL to Richard & Norma Dawson. Entered the United States Air Force on January 25, 1977, until November 1991. He was stationed in South Dakota for five years where he met his wife Cynthia Alexander and married her on April 26, 1980. They continued their military career in Fairbanks, Alaska for nine years. Mark then transferred to the Battle Creek Air National Guard until his retirement in 1999. During his career his occupation was an Avionics Guidance and Control systems. After retirement he pursued his career at the Battle Creek Federal Center until October 2014.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia, son, Allan Dawson and daughter, Alexandra Dawson. Brother Steve (Suzette) Dawson, sister Marth Dawson and many brothers and sisters in laws, nieces and nephews.
He was a wonderful, intelligent and talented husband, father and friend. He loved to hunt, fish, sail and remodel their family home. There are many fond memories of hunting moose, caribou and bear in Alaska and sailing his sailboat 'Liberty' on Lake Michigan. A celebration of Mark's life will be held later for immediate family and friends.
