It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Ann Rusu announces her passing on May 4th, 2024, at the age of 79.
Marjorie was born in Burlington, Iowa, to Laura and Chester Cross on February 27th, 1945. She graduated from
Montcalm Community College. She worked as a bus driver for The Rapid for many years before retiring. Marjorie was a
hard-working woman. She was a loving mother. Her hobbies included riding motorcycles, fishing, reading Dean Koontz
books, writing, and listening to Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper. Most of all, she enjoyed playing Canasta with her family.

Marjorie is lovingly remembered by her children: Julie Wild, Laura Battaglio, Aaron (Patricia) Berends, Amanda Berends,
and daughter-in-law Sherri Foote; her sisters: Cathy Jo DeVries, Patricia Luke, and Eveline Geoff; her grandchildren:
Audrey Hughey, Christopher Knapp, Chaz Knapp, Vincent Battaglio, Avery Berends, Isabelle Berends, Silvie Rowe,
Cameron Rowe, Corey Foote, Michael Foote, and April Foote, as well as multiple great-grandchildren.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Cross, and father, Chester Cross; her brother, Chester K. Cross; her
sister, Sandra Hirt; her son, Raymond Foote; and her son-in-law, Vincent Battaglio.

A celebration of life is being held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on June 29th, 2024, in her home.
