Marilyn Kay Parker, age 84, of Grand Rapids, passed away at home on 6/26/2022. She is survived by her sons John (Stephanie) Parker, Stan Parker, brothers Jim Cawthon and Laury (Teila) Luth, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Marilyn grew up on a farm in Indiana where she developed a love of animals, especially horses. She graduated from Perrysville High School in 1956 where she was an honor student and cheerleader. Marilyn had a unique ability to develop and nurture long-lasting friendships and was happiest when spending time with those friends and her family. She had a caring and generous nature and could always be counted on when she was needed by family (especially her grandchildren) and friends. Marilyn was a homemaker when her sons were young, and was known as the neighborhood Mom where she insisted everyone, regardless of age, call her by her first name. Later, she worked in the family business until joining Forest Hills Foods, where she will be remembered as the smiling face always willing to give customers special attention. Service Details.
