Duggins

Marilyn Duggins Obituary Marilyn Joyce Duggins (Ketchum) 01/27/1941 - 11/29/2018 Our hearts are heavy, for God has called another child home. We take this time to celebrate a life, a life filled love and compassion. Survived by 4 of her 5 children, Leslie (Richard) Yothers, Sandi Cale, Pam Cale, Randy Cale, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The daughter of Andrew J. and Virginia M. Ketchum (Sibry), she is survived by her siblings Larry Ketchum (Carolyn), Linda Armanda (Armando), and Carrie Ketchum. She is proceeded by Eugene, Howard, Rose Marie, and Maxine. A life loved by all of them, and those whom ever had the pleasure to share with her a conversation or embrace. She held a sense of pride for those she loved and cared for, with empathy and kindness unrivaled by only her heart itself, which seemed even too large to be contained in such a woman of her stature. As many lives lived would endure, Marilyn had seen her share of sadness, of loss and of hardship. The loss of her son Harry L. Hill, another life taken far to soon. As well as the loss of many friends close and dear to her. Although these times would at the very least halter our will, she remained strong and vigilant. Not losing faith or sight of things set forth still in front of her. For a caring heart as deep and open as hers would never allow. These hardships only made her press on and try harder. It would seem as though she found comfort in her life by helping those around her. Her work at Muskegon's Child Haven sang loudly of this drive to sooth those neglected of love and family, by taking less fortunate children in during the holidays as if they were of her own. All the while working hard for her very own, ever growing family. Raised Baptist from an early age, Marilyn had a sense of honesty about her and that showed through her personality, quick wit and positive humor. We recognize loss sometimes as hurt and sadness that seems to overshadow these moments. Yet let's not forget those of whom have been able to share with her these moments of life and love. A special thanks goes out to Great Lakes Caring Hospice who made a major impact on her and her families lives.
