Mrs. Marie Emmaline Martin of Kentwood, Michigan, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2019, and rests now in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Marie was a woman of great faith-- she and her late husband Richard were charter members of St. Mary Magleline Parish, and she proudly served with the Women's Guild of the Knights of Columbus. Marie is survived by her children Richard Martin, Thomas (Maggie) Martin, Stephen Martin, Elaine (Patrick) Deuling, Phillip (Laura) Martin, and Albert Martin; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchilden; and many beloved members of the Martin and Oros families. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; and all of her siblings. There will be a time of visitation from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. A scripture reading will follow visitation at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Peter Vu at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1253 52nd Street SE, Kentwood, MI. There will be a one-hour vistitation prior to Mass at church. Those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
