Marie Kathleen (Lowes)Gassman , age 91 Born Aug. 14,1924 in Detroit and died on July 7,2016 in Rockford, Mi She was the daughter of George and Bridget Lowes, the wife of Edward Gassman and the mother of Kathleen(Gassman)Kalm and Douglas Gassman. She was a grandmother to Kelly Dewinter, Erik Kalm and Kyle Kalm. Marie has greatgrandchildren ,Kylee Dewinter, Avery Dewinter, Addie and Elliot Kalm and baby Kalm due in October. Marie was a very accomplished machine operator during war time. Marie lived her married life in Roseville and worked at Zenith Automatic Screw Machine until she retired. She taught her children and grandchildren the proper way to maintain their homes by fixing and repairing their homes. Marie loved family reunions and playing cards at the table with their names carved for each person. Marie was a member of the VFW Schaefer Rachel Post and a member of the American Legion in Roseville and the Eight Ball Club. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. A memorial is planned at Fern Hill Country Club in Clinton Township on Aug. 14 at 1 pm. It would have been Marie's 92 Birthday.
