December 12, 2011 Service: December 17, 2011 Marie Barbara Brandstetter - Anderson, age 87, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon December 12, 2011. Marie was born in Ecorse, MI on February 5, 1924 to Frank and Marie Brandstetter. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Arthur F. Brandstetter of E. Lansing and sister, Pearl Sollie, of Mt. Clemens. Marie attended Michigan State University, where she met her husband of 30 plus years, the late Gerald W. Anderson and raised her family. She was a devoted volunteer for Paws With A Cause for 15 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, creative writing, and a good game of tennis. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children and family, Alan (Deb) Anderson and their two sons, Ben & Tyler, Michael (Mary) Anderson and Bill Anderson. A viewing will be held 1 - 3 Saturday at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo SE, Kentwood, with a memorial service immediately following at 3 pm December 17th with Reverend David Lee Smith. Burial service will be held on Monday December 19th at 2:00 pm at Flower Creek Cemetery South 44 Ave Claybanks Township Montague, MI 49347
