July 25, 2014 Margot Kirchgessner, (Nee Baarda, Tate) aged 78, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Blodgett Hospital. Margot is survived by her children, Susan (Eugene) McElwee, Richard (Sandra) Baarda, Sandra (Patrick) Brougham; step-children, Susan (Chuck) Scrafano, Sibley Kirchgessner, Michael (Kendra) Kirchgessner; grandchildren, Molly, James, Chad, Katie, Patrick, Jeffrey; great grandchild, Julian. Margot loved her time at the cottage and the beach at Grand Haven. She had lifelong friends with her "Girls Club". Special thanks to Faith Hospice and Spectrum Blodgett nurses on 4G for their care of our mother. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday.
