Margaret Ann Frenthway passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Richard Dale Frenthway Jr.

Margaret was born July 26, 1949, in South Haven, Michigan to Donald and Helen (Bechtel) Getman. She was born the oldest of five children and will be greatly missed by her siblings and their children.

Margaret earned her bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University, where she met and married her husband. Margaret and Richard moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where they then started their family.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Craig) Kibbey and their children Jacob and Avery; and her son Richard (Faith) Frenthway III and their children; Charity, Criselda, and Isaac.

Margaret was a very talented quilter and won several ribbons for her work. In her free time, Margaret also enjoyed; crochet, knitting, gardening, and cooking. Margaret loved spending time with her family and was always there for them.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cascade Trails Senior Living and Spectrum Health Hospice for their care and compassion during Margaret's illness.

A memorial celebration is planned for Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service and a luncheon will follow the service.
