FELTEN - Margaret (Marge) Hill Felten. Marge Felten, precious wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend, went to be with her heavenly Father on October 15, 2016. Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1928 to Tom and Martha Duncan, she moved to Evanston, Illinois with her family as a toddler. During her elementary and high school years Marge enjoyed singing and participating in school plays. In her twenties, she fell in love with a man who also possessed a beautiful singing voice-Ray Felten. The two married in 1951 and enjoyed 60 years of marriage and ministry (including singing!) together prior to Ray's going to be with Christ in 2012. A compassionate woman with a love for people and pets, over the years she often brought home stray dogs and cats. Her greatest love, however, was for Jesus her Savior. She showered His love on others in heartfelt, sacrificial ways. In her work as a real estate agent, she often cut her own commissions or creatively worked out purchase details so buyers could obtain homes. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Marge's hugs, meals, and caring ways are treasured memories. Preceded in death by her beloved daughter-in-law Sharon (Brian) Felten in May of this year, Marge is survived by her four children, Lisa and Steve DeHaan, Brian Felten , Barry and Donna Felten, and Tom and Lynn Felten; 11 grandchildren, Joshua (Tiffany) DeHaan, Christopher (Jessica) DeHaan, Jessica (Jonathan) Dale, Erin (Anthony) Nelson-Williams, Elisa (Matthew) Grzybowski, Jacob (Melissa) Felten, Curtis, Justin, Ian, Colin, Madeleine Felten, and eight great-grandchildren, two siblings and their families. A service to celebrate Marge's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Rest Haven Home, 1424 Union Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A time of visitation with the family will be held at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service and also after the service. A private committal service will be held by the family on Saturday evening.
