Margaret Ellen (Smith) Cogan passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Grand Rapids. She was 88 years old. She was born in Grand Rapids and lived there her entire life. She worked in the medical records department at St. Mary's Hospital for 30 years and was a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Parish. She loved God, camping, beautiful scenery, music and most of all, her family. She is survived by her loving sister Catherine Bosowski, brother Edward (Carol) Smith, children Wes (Kirstyn) Cogan, Cathy (Don) Rewa and Beth (Garrett) Sheahan; grandchildren Justin and Aaron Rewa, Joy (Sam) Anderson, Elisa (Dave) Mingerink and Emily (Joe) Hays, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
