IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret Ann
Bluitt
January 18, 1951 – May 25, 2017
Margaret Ann Bluitt was gifted to Daisy and Gerald Jones of Cassopolis, Michigan on January 18th, 1951. She was the fourth of their six children. Margaret grew up on a dairy farm and loved country living. She was most comfortable without shoes or socks and had a love for nature, flower gardening, and bird watching (her favorite birds were cardinals and hummingbirds). Margaret also had a tenderness for all creatures. Over the years she had dogs, cats, birds, and most recently saltwater fish and a tiny octopus named Sydney! Margaret was a visionary and would often express her creative side by painting, crafting and working on D.I.Y. projects. She enjoyed bargain hunting and garage sales. Also, she was happiest in the water, swimming or water skiing. Margaret's love for the Lord was cultivated during her membership with The Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of the late Bishop L. E. Brisban. Under his foresight and teachings, Margaret was baptized and received the holy ghost. All who loved her knew that she wanted nothing more in this world than for her children and grandchildren to become saved and walk with the Lord. Margaret loved to talk about the goodness of Jesus! He was truly faithful in many facets of her life. Margaret lived most of her life in Grand Rapids, Michigan until she was blessed to build a home in Sparta. That is where she resumed the "country-living" feel she delighted in as a child. She had a great sense of humor and could be very silly at times. Margaret fancied small and uncommon things: miniature schnauzers and dachshunds, convertible smart cars, and she was always fascinated by her daughters small fingers and feet. Margaret gave birth to three adoring daughters: Jessica Lynn, Nichole Shree, and Michelle Dominique. However, later in life she opened her heart and her home to adopt a niece,Courtney Renee and a nephew, Eric James. Preceding Margaret in death were her parents, Daisy and Gerald Jones, and three siblings: Norman Jones, Sharel "Sis Sue" Jones-Williams, and Gerald Jr. Jones. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, and two sons-in-law; Tony Pierce and Marcus Rigsby. Four grandsons: David, Asad, Uziah and Marcus Jr and her only granddaughter Aja. Margaret also leaves behind 2 sisters; Norrine Green and Louwanna Irving, nine nieces, ten nephews and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. Friends and family all agree that Margaret was a people person! She never met a stranger, and would strike up a conversation in a heartbeat. She was a joy and was very well loved. She will truly be missed. A memorial service will be held at Life Center Church of the Apostolic Faith 1905 Madison Ave Grand Rapids, MI 49507 on Saturday, June 10th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Life Center Church.
