Marcia Ann Vereecken, age 74, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord on October 13, 2026, at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods, while surrounded by her family.

Marcia was born December 2, 1951, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Gerald and Lois Bomers. She grew up in Grand Rapids and attended Grand Rapids Community College. She went on to spend 25 years at Amway in event planning. Amway also gave Marcia one of her greatest passions: the Amway Golf League. She loved the game and loved to travel, happily combining the two. If there was a course she could get to, she wanted to play it.

Closer to home, Marcia had a talent and an enthusiasm for interior decorating. Her greatest joy, though, was her family, especially her grandchildren, Jack and Reagan. She loved watching them grow, compete in their sporting events, and especially attending Grandparents' Day at school. Those who knew Marcia will miss her wit, her charm, and her humor. She brought all three wherever she went, from the golf course to the bleachers. 

Marcia is survived by her son, Spencer (Kirsten) Vereecken; her grandchildren, Jack and Reagan Vereecken; her brother, Jon (Cheryl) Bomers; her nephew, Adam (Danielle) Bomers; her niece, Adison (Chris) Fryman; great nephews, Fayden Fryman, Asher Bomers; and great nieces, Willow Fryman, Layla Bomers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Lois Bomers; her sister, Janice Bomers; and her brother, Greg Bomers.

A private ceremony will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, but family and friends are invited to an open house-style Celebration of Life on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Falcon Banquet Room at Main Street.
