Marcia Evelyn King, 71 of Traverse City, passed away on December 17, 2024.

Born on October 8, 1953, in Traverse City, Marcia was the daughter of William D. and Evelyn (Zionskowski) Beckwith. Marcia graduated from St. Francis High School with the class of 1971.

Her Catholic faith was important to her and she was proud of her Leelanau County Polish heritage. Marcia loved the Cherry Festival and was even Cherry Princess for her elementary school. In her younger years, Marcia enjoyed being a 4-H member and was a talented seamstress. Marcia is survived by her children Janette (Jack) Halligan, Marcus (Lindsay-Kate) King, and Scott King, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her brother Richard (Cynthia) Beckwith, sister Patricia (Dennis) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dewey Beckwith and several aunts and uncles.

A private family burial will take place in the spring at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
