Lynne Loretta Mathis (Wright), beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 4, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born on February 10, 1945 in Saginaw Michigan to Effie and Francis Wright.

She studied nursing and graduated from Saginaw General in 1967 and retired in 2010. 

She was survived by by her husband Robert Mathis, two sons David and Mark, brothers Brian and Lee, and sister Seva. Preceded in death by her stepson John Mathis.

Lynne enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking new foods. She was a dedicated mother and wife and was a joy at any occasion. Her smile would light up a room and she will be very sorely missed.

A memorial will held in the summer at a time and place to be determined.
