IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louis Irwin
Johnson
April 29, 1955 – April 14, 2018
"Louie" was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Carlin Johnson and Beverly Huss. He attended Gobles High School. After school, he enlisted in the Armed Forces. On May 10, 1975, he married Tina Marie Mansfield. Louie was a carpenter all of his life and many would agree that he was one of the best. He was a devoted father, caring uncle, loving brother and a child of God. Louie had a kind and generous heart. He enjoyed helping others anyway that he could. Whether volunteering at the Covey Hill Baptist Church Food Pantry or driving anyone who needed help with errands. Louie also loved the ministry of Compassion International where he supported children overseas for many years. Louie was preceded in death by his father, Carlin, wife Tina, sister Michelle, father-in-law Jack, sister-in-law Tammy and mother-in-law Joyce. He is survived by his children, Mellisa (Alan) Grauman, Nathan (Jessica) Johnson, Joshua Johnson, David Johnson and grandchildren Jacob, Delani, Lucas and Emma, all in the Gobles area. A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gobles. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm with a service to follow at 4:00 pm. A reception will take place immediately following the service. Pastor Alex Rubachek and Dan Wilson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your local charity in his honor.
