September 4, 2011 Service: September 9, 2011 Lorraine M. Cook, aged 91, of Grand Rapids, widow of Marvin Cook, passed from this life to her new life in Heaven on Sunday, September 4, 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Philip) Pikaart, niece, Elaine (Ed) Gortsema, sister in law, Marlene Cook, step grandchildren and great grandchildren in the Geisel, McElrath, Pikaart and Karsten families. Lorraine was a homemaker and lifelong member of Calvary Reformed Church(now Common Ground Church)). She had a charm and wit and little "naughty side" that brought joy and fun to her family and friends. We want to thank the loving staff of Porter Hills for their compassionate and devoted care to mom. Thanks be to God for giving us her special light and love these 91 years. Memorials to Porter Hills will be appreciated. Memorial services will be held Friday evening, September 9 at 7:00pm in Plymouth Congregational Church, 4010 Kalamazoo SE. The family will meet with friends and relatives Thursday evening from 6:30 to 9:00pm in the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo SE.
