Lorel "Lori" Spears, age 64, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on May 22, 2024. Born on February 11, 1960, in Chicago, IL, Lori was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy and warmth to everyone she encountered.

Lori's life was a testament to the love she had for her family. She was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her children: Jeremiah, Joshua, and Jennifer. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished  deeply, and she was a source of endless love and fun for her grandchildren: Michael, Dominik, Rayah, Blake, Bailey, Jade, Oliver, and Ryder. Lori's siblings, Becky, Angel, Patty, and Bobby, will fondly remember her as a pillar of strength and kindness in their family.

Preceded in death by her mother, Carol; father, Erwin; and sister, Christal. Lori's legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will live on through her family and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lori's heart extended beyond her human family to her cherished animals. Her home was a haven for various pets over the years, and she could often be found tending to her chickens or spending time in her garden, which was as vibrant and full of life as she was.

Lori's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Gardening was not just a pastime but a way for her to connect with the earth and create beauty around her. Although Lori had a difficult life she was unwaveringly positive and generous. She had the biggest heart and was one of the kindest souls you would ever met. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lori's influence was far-reaching, and the memories she created with her loved ones will continue to bring comfort and smiles for years to come.
