Lois (went by Jo) age 93 went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 21, 2021 at her home in Muskegon MI. She was born October 25, 1927 in Lansing, MI to Loren and Mabel (Giddings) Armstrong. She spent her early years on the farm in Hesperia, MI. She graduated from Hesperia High School in 1945. She married Sgt William Robert Young on March 25, 1949.

She loved her flower gardens and they flourished with her love and caring. She would bring a bouquet of her flowers for the front of the church every Sunday. At the end of the service she would pick someone to take her bouquet home. She loved wearing hats to church. She attended Calvary Memorial Church. She was also a Red Hat Lady.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband William R. Young, sisters Barb Armstrong and Onalee Bloomstrom, and Parents Loren and Mabel Armstrong. She is survived by 4 children Robert (Kathy) Young of Midland Texas, Pamela Peters of Muskegon, Roger (Jane) Young of Grand Rapids, and Ronald (Barb) Young of Ackworth, GA, 6 grand children and 10 great grand children, her broth Allen, and her sister Carol Thomas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Simply Cremation and Funeral Care of Kentwood.
