Lois Gane Stinson Stephens, 92, passed away Feb. 19, 2020 in Grand Rapids, MI. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loved ones. Lois was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI, to Bruce and Mabel Gane. Lois went to South High School in Grand Rapids, MI. She continued her education at Kendall College where she took classes in Art. Lois enjoyed many things. Most of all she loved being a mother and grandmother. Her love for her family showed and was felt in everything she did. She was a great cook, a remarkable artist, a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed reading. For many years she worked at the YMCA as the youth scholarship coordinator, allowing kids amazing opportunities that they otherwise would not have had. In addition to her many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lois is survived by her daughters and their significant others; Melissa Stinson Greve and Greg Levanduski, Laurel Stinson Gruchow and Tony Mendoza, and Kim Stinson. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and children; daughters, Gloria Hinojosa and Shirly Anne Stinson, and son, William Stinson. At her request no service will be held.
