Short, Lois June, age 87 of Grand Rapids left this earthly home on July 1st, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard. She is survived by their children; Kathy Beurkens, Sandy & Randy Hendrick, Lea & Robert Bolt, Richard Homrich, Wendy & Rob Tasker, Terrance & Judy Wexel, and Patricia Wexel; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Shirley Popma and Linda & Roger Johnson. She enjoyed visiting her families around the country. She worked for Godwin Heights Community Education with senior citizens in nursing homes. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school to four year olds and being involved with the nursery at Faith Reformed Church and Garfield Park Reformed Church. Lois lived at Villa Maria for many years making many friends. Services will be held at Faith Reformed Church 618 32nd Street SW, Wyoming on Thursday, July 9th at 3 PM. Family will meet with friends and family at the church two hours prior to the service. Reverend Bruce Osbeck will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to her church, Faith Reformed.
