May 6, 2011 Service: May 10, 2011 Vonnie passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, May 6th 2011. She is now resting with her savior Jesus. Vonnie was known by many as the lady with the beautiful smile. She was born August 20th 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Howard J (Howdy) on February 12th 2006 and her son Howard Scott (Butch) on January 20th 2007. Vonnie and Howdy loved band music and many years camping at Pioneer Park, Tyler Creek, and Schnable Lake. Her great grand children were the apple of her eyes. Vonnie leaves behind her loving daughter Judy Nahs who was her care giver for 5 ½ years, son Alan (Kristin) Nahs, their family, Kiley and Aiden, special daughter-in-law Ann Gietzen, Scott's children Jeff and Jenny Brezinski, loving daughter Linda (Vince) Papa and their daughters , Debbie (Eddie) Suthers, their daughters, Sorvina and Liana, Tina (Matt) Hoople, their sons Nash and Nick, Patti (Rob) Harris and family, Breanna, Trinity, and Tiberius, special nephew Jerry A. Stone, brothers Clare B Stone of Waterford MI and Elvon Stone of Modesto CA, and many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Faith Hospice for all of your support, loving comfort and care to Vonnie and her family. Special thank you to Pastor Lee Ausema, Dr. Martha Ording, RN Lorna, SW Sal, and aide Cindy; Vonnie always had a "Special Smile" for them. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10th at 11am at the Ofield Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Ausema officiating.
