Lindsey Michelle Barks-Bergakker, passed away on the 19th of April, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, touching the lives of everyone she crossed paths with.

Upon schooling, Lindsey pursued her childhood dream of entering the medical field, where her kindhearted and empathetic nature granted her the ability to thrive and create lifelong relationships. She truly was the living embodiment of compassion, a quality of which did not go unnoticed by her many family members and friends.

Lindsey celebrated her marriage in May of 2021 and recently fulfilled her dream of settling in a ranch-style home on a large property. She never stopped singing, "We're from the country and we like it that way."

Lindsey is survived by her two favorite people in the world: her soulmate and husband, Bill, and greatest life accomplishment and daughter, Amaya. She is further survived by her parents, David (Louise) Barks and Deborah Tedrow; father and mother in-law, Arlan and Donna Bergakker; sister, Kristen (Mitch) Cobb; niece, Reagan Cobb; grandparents, Edward and Barbara Sourbeck, and Bonnie Yager; and feline companion, Max Barks-Bergakker. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings in-law, and countless friends will also miss her dearly.

The funeral service will be held at Ofield Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at 5 pm, with a visitation preceding the service at 4 pm and following the service at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation in Lindsey's name to the 'be nice.' campaign of West Michigan. Though Lindsey did not pass from mental-health related causes, she has long been an advocate for fighting the stigma of mental health and has expressed support for this organization on multiple occasions.
