Linda Mae (Stahl) Schaffrath, of Fennville, MI, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of 81. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Edna Stahl, sister Verna Miela, husbands Roger Wunderlich, David Schaffrath, and by a son, Roger Lee Wunderlich. She is survived by her brother Bernard (Pam) Stahl, children, Wayne (Heather) Wunderlich, Jeffrey Wunderlich, Laura (Randall)Taylor, Leslie (Robert) Siegel, Matthew Wunderlich, step children Theresa Brooks and Cynthia Schaffrath, twenty-seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Linda grew up in Chicago, where she also raised her family, before moving to Michigan. She loved being involved in the various activities of her children's lives including Sunday School teacher, Cub Scout den mother and Brownie/Girl Scout leader. In her free time she enjoyed reading, listening to music, all aspects of trivia (in which she was very knowledgeable) at all times accompanied by her favorite beverage - hot, black coffee. Linda was always baking, canning, sewing, knitting, crocheting or cooking something--- a love that she passed on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Later in life, Linda lost her sight, received a seeing eye dog, and became an advocate for the blind through the United Way. She took every setback in stride and continued to move forward each day. Linda had a quick wit, a sassy attitude, and a dry sense of humor. Laughter was always part of her everyday life, always lightening up the room no matter the situation. She was one to speak her mind and gave the very best advice and counsel. Linda will be deeply missed by all those who knew her, family and friends alike - she showed us all how to persevere, even in the hardest of times. Memorial Services will be held December 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Open Door Worship Center, 2449 54th St, Fennville, MI 49408.
