Linda Ann Hatch-Lester, 69, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away March 2, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her children. Linda was born on October 6, 1952 to the late William Hatch and Marjorie (Jennings)Hatch and is the 2nd child and only daughter of three children. She attended GVSU, Aquinas College and received her accreditation as a Massage Therapist, opened a successful private practice which she managed for over 20 years. Linda adored her entire family and was especially devoted to each one of her children; Scott G. and his wife Alejandra, Sarah A. and her wife Athena, Timothy D. and Andrew J. as well as four beautiful grandchildren; Dominick, Ashton, Lex and Samantha. She was known by many as a sister, friend, confidant, artist, author, poet, genealogist, gardener, - the list is endless. To her children, she was angel and mother in one and they honor her with the following tribute: To our precious Mama, You have given so much of your unconditional love and self throughout our lives and will eternally remain Our Champion, Cheerleader, Hero, Best Friend and Angel. Our individual struggles always found you, the light at the end of the tunnel, a gentle guide and fierce warrior - during our darkest of times. Your favorite things have become ours. We will see your echo every spring, walking through your garden with a cup of coffee, talking to the squirrels and planning which flowers to plant. Your strong hands deep in the earth, the one's that held us our entire lives, reveling the scent- rooted in a richer connection to the Creator. We will watch programs with you in mind, conversing about plots and characters - We will stroll through wooded area taking in the beds of trillium and bird song ever aware of your spirited presence. We will feed our bellies knowing that your passion for food was passed down to each of us in our own way and you ate everything we plated with a grateful smile. We know that you are unflinchingly and unapologetically mothering us still and we are so very blessed to not only have had that love during your lifetime but to continue to feel it during ours. We thank you for you. You always said, "Never say good-bye" This is not good-bye, this is, "See you again" With eternal love, Scott, Sarah, Tim and Andy A private gathering will be held at the family home on Saturday, March 12th from 11 A.M -12:30 P.M. for the Hatch-Jennings family.
