Linda passed away peacefully in the early morning hours at Allegan County Medical Care Community in Allegan MI.
First born of 6 to James Robert and Eva Marie (King) Christie. Linda grew up on the family farm in Lawrence, MI. She was actively involved in 4-H, Cheerleading and band in High School.
Linda lived a full life. She loved to travel. She had been to Europe, Germany, France, Multiple US cities and eventually got her dream vacation, an Alaskan Cruise after she retired. She loved to talk about her love of travel. She traveled until she physically could not.
She worked at Upjohn in the lab, Flashes Publishers (in the early days), Allegan County Fair as the Promotions Director of the Community Tent, assisting with the Fair Parade for many years after that and finally retired from Allegan Vet Clinic after 20+ years as the office manager.
Linda's family was everything to her. She is survived by her daughters Tricia Julien (Mike Krcma), Tonya (James) Ghist, 8 Grandchildren Savannah (Kyle) Harrison, Alyssa Cherry, Lydia Dell, Reagin Cherry, Delanie Dell, Kyah Ghist, Matt and Kenny Krcma. 1 great granddaughter Eleanor Harrison.
She is survived by her siblings June (Felix) Bartotto, James (Mary) Christie, Terrie Hunkins and Chip (Raquel) Christie; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with many dear lifelong friends including Donna Gurn, Sandy Zeerip, Carolyn Kitzmiller, Forrest Vannier and Elizabeth Engelsman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joyce Phelps and Brother-in-law Mark Hunkins.
Per Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at ACMCC for providing such loving care over the last couple of years, her home away from home.
