Linda Marie Fulkerson of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at Butterworth Hospital, at the age of 78 after a courageous battle with cancer and leukemia. She was born on August 7, 1947, to Harry and Jeannette (Patty) Hudson in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Linda was married to Paul, making Grand Rapids their home, and they spent 23 years together having fun traveling. They hosted many parties and enjoyed going on casino trips with their friends. Linda was an avid activist for women's and animal rights. Her passionate love for animals led her to become actively involved with the Michigan Humane Society. This led her to take in numerous senior rescue dogs, providing them comfort in their final months.

Linda was employed at the Sterling Heights Kroger for many years where she served as Head Deli Manager. She was known as a diligent worker and rarely missed work. After retiring from Kroger, she worked several more years at Fifth/Third Bank in Grand Rapids.

She was also an active member of Kentwood Community Church.

Linda is survived by daughters Kim (John) Sweeney and Kelly (Michael) Bernardi, and her dearly loved granddaughter Emily Nolan; sister Ann (Randy) Luxton. A very special thanks to her wonderful friends/neighbors Lana, Mary, Holly, Shirley, Boots, Diana, Crystal and family. Linda was preceded in death by husband Paul and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dryden.
