Linda Joette (Smith) Cope, age 69, of Holland, Mi, passed away tragically Tuesday June 11, 2019 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born February 2, 1950, in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Genevieve Reffert. Linda married Les Winters March 8, 1969 and had two children, Angel Roarks and Matt Winters. On October 5, 1996, Linda married Randy Cope and became a mother to Charlie and Joe Cope. Linda was taken from us too soon and will be missed by so many. Her children Angel (Mitchell) Roarks, Matt Winters, Joe Cope, and Charlie (Wendy) Cope; brother, Jim Smith; and Grand kids, Madison Dowers, Nicole Cope, Gavin Winters, Ethan Winters, and Curtiss Cope. She was preceded in death by her mom, Genieve Reffert, and her brother Ronald E. Smith, MIA U.S Army Special Forces. Linda worked as an optician for 33 years. She was very supportive of the military and an active member of Rolling Thunder. She was also a memeber of the National League of Families. Linda was also a published author. Linda was an incredible wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. When she loved, it was strong. She loved life, family, laughing and supporting everyone. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched in so many special ways.
