Lillian Margaret (Fromer) Summerhill, age 77, of Battle Creek went home to be with her Lord Saturday afternoon May 7, 2020 at Senior Care Pace Hospice in Portage, MI. She was born on June 17, 1942 to Richard and Lillian (Sorg) Fromer in Detroit, Lillian was the oldest of four children. At three years of age Lillian and her brothers Dick, Jim and Larry were adopted By their paternal grandparents George and Florence Fromer and moved to Beaverton, Mi. Lillian attended Beaverton High school and Grace Collage. As a result of working a summer job 1962 she become employed at Moody Bible Institute where she met her husband to be Cliff in Jan 1963. It was love at first sight and they were married Sept. 7, 1963 at Mt Prospect Bible Church. Lillian is survived by and will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 57 years Cliff, children David (Lola), Cynthia (Matt) Douglass and John. 7 grandchildren who she adored Ashley, Jessica, Amber, Megan, Jordan, Ella and Luke and great grandchildren Gabby, Zoey, David, Christian and Amara.

Over the years Lillian worked at Moody Bible institute in Chicago, A&P, Brenner's Market and Sears all in Battle Creek and retiring from Sears after 35 years. She loved meeting and helping people whenever she could, she had to constantly be busy and she enjoyed playing the organ, piano and trombone. She also directed the choir and played the organ at South Side Bible Church or performed in the choir at Calvary Baptist in Battle Creek where she was a member. She also liked sewing and over many years would make costumes for special occasions for the kids and grandkids.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and her brother Larry. Cremation has taken place and due to current extraordinary circumstances a memorial service will be held on Saturday August 1 at 10am at Calvary Baptist Church in Battle Creek. The family wishes to thank Fountain View Nursing Home and Senior Care PACE Hospice in Portage, Mi. for the outstanding and loving care they provided for her.
