Celebration of Life
Mayflower Congregational Church (Grand Rapids)
Starts at 2:00 pm
Leona Carol Naylor, age 95, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away after a long and full life, surrounded by the love of her family. She will be remembered most for her positive spirit and her unwavering belief in hope and resilience. To everyone who knew her, she was a constant source of encouragement, often reminding us that "If God closes one door, He will always open another." She taught her family the value of optimism, generosity, and meeting life with a smile.
After raising her four children, Leona spent 40 years selling Tupperware, where she excelled and formed many lifelong friendships. She enjoyed serving at her church, traveling, hosting parties, and bringing her family together for holidays and special gatherings. A talented knitter, she lovingly created sweaters, hats, and scarves for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each stitch carried her love, and her handmade gifts will continue to warm our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gertrude Nienhuis; her loving husband, Eugene Naylor; and her son, Kenneth Naylor.
She is survived by Marv (Ruth); Ann and Dan Jacques; John (Amy); along with 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31, at 2:00 p.m. at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
Memorial contributions in Leona's name may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 625 Kenmore Avenue SE, Suite 115, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49546.
